MARYSVILLE — Two boys were taken to the hospital on Wednesday morning after a school bus rear-ended a semi truck in Marysville.
The crash was reported about 9 a.m. near the intersection of Highway 9 and 84th Street NE, said trooper Mark Francis with the Washington State Patrol.
The semi truck was stopped at the intersection at the time. The school bus driver, a 24-year-old man, was unable to stop in time and rear-ended the semi.
Two boys, 6 and 8, were on the Mukilteo School District bus at the time. The 8-year-old was taken to the hospital to be checked over for possible injuries, Francis said. The 6-year-old was related to the other boy and went with him. The injured boy had bumped his head on a seat, officials said.
Neither driver was seriously hurt. An inspection is planned on the bus, Francis said.
