Time to impose term limits

This is in response to the Tuesday letter “Only tool left is the ballot box”: There is another very powerful tool that we will be hearing more about after May 26. It is Article 5 of the U.S. Constitution, which gives us the opportunity to impose term limits on the U.S. Congress without their approval. When 34 states request a convention for a specific topic, an article 5 convention is called. It’s long past time for term limits to become a reality. If you truly want to see reform come to Congress and help our nation get back on track, this is a good start. Get the special interests (lobbyists) out of politics by helping this bipartisan effort move forward. The polls show that 75 percent of the public want term limits. You can find out more here: Are you willing to make a difference and help? This is truly a bi-partisan effort.
