Fauna Shade record release show: Everett band Fauna Shade will release its first record, “Baton Rouge,” during a show May 1 at the Sunset Tavern, 5433 Ballard Ave NW, Seattle. The show, which also includes the bands Kithkin and Fruit Juice, begins at 8 p.m. Tickets are $8 and can be purchased at the www.ticketweb.com.

Geoffrey Castle: The six-string electric violin will once again ring out as Castle performs a concert at 7:30 p.m. May 2 at the Tim Noah Thumbnail Theater, 1211 Fourth St., Snohomish. “Artists at the Organ”: Trinity Lutheran Church’s organ concert series will conclude its 20th anniversary season with a celebratory program with Paul Tegels at the church’s beautiful organ. Tegels, a native of the Netherlands, is an associate professor of organ at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma. The concert is 7 p.m. May 3 at the church, 6215 196th St. SW, Lynnwood. Suggested donation is $15 for adults. Seniors and students $10 or pay as able.

“Planet of the Boomers, an Evolving Generation”: Stillaguamish Senior Center hosts Richard Stockton for a comedy and music show at 3:30 p.m. May 3 at the center, 18308 Smokey Point Blvd., Arlington. Tickets are $12 and available by calling 360-653-4551 or in person at the center.

Overton Berry: The jazz legend and 2012 inductee into the Seattle Jazz Hall of Fame will perform 8 p.m. May 16, presented by the Edmonds Driftwood Players, at the Wade James Theatre in Edmonds. Tickets, $25, are available at www.edmonds-driftwoodplayer.org or by calling 425-774-9600.

North Cascades Concert Band: The group offers a free concert at 3 p.m. May 16 in the Byrnes Performing Arts Center at Arlington High School, 18821 Crown Ridge Blvd.

An Evening of Jazz: The Arlington Arts Council presents the concert at 7:30 p.m. May 22, Byrnes Performing Arts Center, Arlington High School, 18821 Crown Ridge Blvd. Tickets are $15, or free for children. Six-time Grammy award-winning baritone sax player Gary Smulyan and pianist George Cables will arrive from New York to perform. Tickets available at Flowers by George, 335 N Olympic Ave., Arlington. Arlington High Jazz 1 also will perform.

“Basie Bash”: The 17-piece, award-winning Seattle Repertory Jazz Orchestra celebrates 20 years together with a concert of Count Basie’s music at 7:30 p.m. May 30 at Edmonds Center for the Arts. Tickets are available through srjo.org or edmondscenterforthearts.org or by calling 425-275-9595. Single tickets are $34. Fans ages 25 and younger admitted for $10.

Festivals/Summer Music

The Fisherman’s Village Music Festival: May 16 and 17 in downtown Everett. More at thefishermansvillage.com. More than 50 bands, including The Helio Sequence, Telekinesis, Deep Sea Diver, Barcelona and Jason Webley, with his full band, will perform on multiple stages. Everett bands Fauna Shade, Preacher’s Wife and Shark The Herald will perform. General admission weekend pass is $49 and gets concert-goers into all venues. An all-age pass is $30 and gets under-21 concert-goers into the main stage and Historic Everett Theatre all weekend. Kids younger than 12 are free.

Everett’s Music at the Marina: The lineup for the free concerts has been announced. Concerts are 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursdays, June 25 through Aug. 27, and Saturdays, June 27 through Aug. 29, Port Gardner Landing, 1700 W. Marine View Drive. Most bands are local or regional.
