Purchased triploid rainbows averaging 1 to 2 pounds, have been or will be planted by the state in the following area lakes this spring:
Snohomish County: Blackmans Lake, multiple plants by sportsmen’s clubs; Lake Cassidy, 458 trips in April; Flowing Lake, 398 trips in April; Gissberg Ponds South, 409 state triploids in May, plus more in the north (juveniles only) pond in early May for the May 17 kids’ fish-in by the Everett Steelhead and Salmon Club; Lake Howard, 500 in April; Panther Lake, 291 in April; Lake Roesiger, 517 in April; Silver Lake, 59 in April and May; Lake Tye, 212 in April, plus a bunch more for the kids’ fishing day on Sunday after the opener (by Sky Valley Chapter of Trout Unlimited).
Skagit County: Lake Campbell, 821 in April and May; Clear Lake 718 in April; Lake Erie, 850 in April; Heart Lake, 600 in April; and Pass Lake, 162 in May.
Island County: Deer Lake, 204 triploids in April.
