TUKWILA — Kamiak junior Miles Craggs scored a season-high five goals and assisted on two others as the Knights powered to a 15–11 win over Kennedy Catholic in a boys lacrosse game on Thursday at Foster H.S.
After being held to just two goals in the first period, an injury riddled Kamiak (4-2 league, 5-2 overall) attack broke the contest open with a five-goal second. The outburst gave the Knights a 7–3 lead at halftime.
“We’re pretty banged up right now, but a lot of guys stood out to fill roles,” Kamiak coach Mike Harlow said.
One of those players was Craggs who stepped into the attackman’s role after playing midfield for the first seven games of the season.
“Craggs really stepped up for us,” Harlow said of the team captain.
It was his third hat trick of the season.
In the third, Kennedy made a run at Kamiak, outscoring the Knights 4–3, but Kamiak came back with a five-goal fourth to close out the game.
Ashton Pieris led Kennedy with four goals and two assists along with 11 ground balls.
