The Warriors pitcher/slugger had a huge week to help the Warriors sweep Jackson. On Tuesday, Budnick scored the game-winning run and went 4-for-5 in a 5-4 win over the Timberwolves. The next day, the senior hit a go-ahead two-run home run in a 4-2 win and then backed that up with a great performance on the mound at the plate in a 10-3 win on Friday. Budnick tossed six strong innings and struck out eight and was 2-for-3 with two doubles and four RBI in the victory.

The Eagles first baseman went 8-for-11 with seven doubles, a triple, a home run and five RBI as Arlington won two of three games against Wesco 4A South competition. McDonald would have had a chance to win the Jackson game, but she was intentionally walked in the bottom of the seventh inning with the score tied at 3.

The Panthers forward scored at least a goal in each of Snohomish’s wins last week, including the game’s only goal in a win over crosstown rival Glacier Peak, to keep the Panthers unbeaten in league play. Corrie had a goal and an assist in a win over Jackson and two goals in a win over Monroe.

The Panthers’ golfer shot a 4-under par 66 at Echo Falls G.C. to lead Snohomish to a win in a Wesco 4A North match.

The Tigers set three personal records and a school and meet record at the Rieke Invitational on Friday. She set a school and meet record in the 100 with a time of 12.60 seconds and personal records in 400 (60.63) and long jump (15 feet, 10 inches). In the 200, Collinge’s time of 26.84 seconds was three-hundreths of a second off a personal and school record.
