EVERETT — A fire Tuesday night caused an estimated $100,000 to a home in the 9300 block of Sharon Drive.
A person living in the home was able to get out safely.
Firefighters received the 911 call shortly before 7:30 p.m. The fire was reported in the dining room, Everett fire marshal Rick Robinson said.
When fire crews arrived, they found flames and smoke coming from the front of the house. They quickly put out the fire and then extinguished hotspots inside and in the attic.
The Snohomish County Chapter of the American Red Cross was providing aid. Four cats died in the fire.
The cause is under investigation, but it is not thought to be suspicious, Robinson said.
