Music The Fisherman’s Village Music Festival is Friday and Saturday in Everett. Bands will be playing on four different stages. Get the details in our story here.
Fly: Paine Field Aviation Day is 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Flying Heritage Collection and Historic Flight Foundation planes fly from noon to 1:30 p.m. There will be aircraft displays and free introductory flights for kids. Get details in our story here.
Little planes: Watch a model airplane contest from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday. It’s at the Emerald RC Field, 11890 Old Snohomish-Monroe Road, Snohomish. Look for the entry to the field, which is marked Cascade Family Park on the east side of the road.
For dogs: PoochFest is 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at The Irishmen, 2923 Colby Ave., Everett. There will be raffles, T-shirt and swag sale from Everett’s Animal Rescue Foundation and Scrub-A-Mutt. It’s free, but donations are welcome; 21 and older. Well-behaved dogs welcome.
Farmers market: The Everett Farmers Market on the waterfront opens for the season at 11 a.m. on Sunday. It will be open every Sunday through Oct. 5. More info here. Check out the schedule for other markets here.
“Yesterday and Today”: Edmonds Center for the Arts presents a tribute to the Beatles at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at 410 Fourth Ave. N. The hall will take on the sights, sounds and memories of the 1960s. To get more info or for tickets, click here.
Fuchsia: The Pilchuck Fuchsia Society sale is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, 2513 Cleveland Ave., Everett. You’ll find fuchsia baskets, large and small fuchsias, geraniums, tomatoes, hostas, grasses, lilies and other outdoor plants.
Garage sale: Everett’s Harborview-Seahurst-Glenhaven Neighborhood Association garage sale is 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Maps are available at homes.
Brew: SnohoBrewHAHA brewery festival is from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Snohomish Events Center, 1011 Second St. Sample from more than 50 local brews. Get details here.
Classics: The Antique and Classic Motorcycle Show is from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday on First Street in downtown Snohomish; free to watch, $15 to register. Details here.
Birds and plants: Head out to the Edmonds Wildlife Habitat Native Plant Demo Garden Saturday for bird-spotting walks, a work party and a native plant sale. Early birders can show up between 7:30 and 8:30 a.m. Volunteer workers can join a work party at the public garden beginning at 10 a.m. The plant sale goes from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Demo Garden is on the NW corner of Edmonds Way (Highway 104) and Pine Street at the Willow Creek Hatchery.
Food: The Celebration of Food Festival is 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Lynnwood Convention Center. The festival encourages growing, cooking, preserving and eating healthy food. There will be samples, demos, display gardens and vendors. Get more info here.
Birds: Noah Strycker, ornithologist, adventurer and associate editor of Birding magazine, speaks at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Everett Public Library, 2702 Hoyt Ave. Strycker will discuss the findings in his new book, “The Thing with Feathers.”
Snakes and more: Kids can get up-close looks at snakes, iguanas, turtles and lizards from 4 to 5 p.m. Friday at Everett Public Library, Evergreen branch, 9512 Evergreen Way, Everett.
