On behalf of the entire Monroe Family Village Steering Committee and East County Board of Housing Hope, We would like to thank local musician Bronn Journey. Along with other musicians and performers, Bronn helped organize a benefit concert and perform for a crowd in support of Monroe Family Village, which is breaking ground on Wednesday on West Main Street in Monroe. The concert was held on May 10 as part of Mother’s Day Weekend. The acts included a Lord Hill String Quartet, an authentic Thai dance artist, an a cappella group named By The Way, a poetry reading and the amazing talent of Bronn Journey. Bronn played several pieces from classic to jazz to rock on his harp.
We are deeply appreciative to Bronn and the other performers for this gift to Housing Hope and our mission to build Monroe Family Village. This first event is sure to become an annual tradition that will continue to help meet the needs of the families who will live at Monroe Family Village. Our hope is to see families like yours make it an annual tradition to take your mothers out to this community concert on the night before Mother’s Day. We look forward to welcoming Bronn as well as many other local performers and all of you to next year’s event. Thank you again to all of those that came out to support such a worthy cause.
Sincerely,
Jeff Rasmussen and Nancy Truitt Pierce
