21 schools split $8 million for aerospace training

EVERETT — Everett Community College was among the biggest winners of the 21 Washington community and technical colleges that split $8 million from the state to train more workers for aerospace manufacturing.

The money comes from legislation passed last November as part of the state’s bid to land the assembly line for Boeing’s 777X jetliner in Washington. It is intended to create room for more than 1,000 new students in aerospace training programs.
