Edmonds Summer Shootout this weekend

The eighth annual girls Edmonds Summer Shootout, hosted by Meadowdale, Lynnwood, Edmonds-Woodway and Mountlake Terrace, takes place this weekend.

The girls basketball tournament is run by the four schools and is a fundraiser for the girls basketball programs at each school.

This year 36 varsity girls basketball teams and 30 JV teams from across the state will compete.

The tournament begins at 4:30 p.m. on Friday and will conclude with the championship game at 5 p.m. on Sunday.
