EVERETT — Six players drove in runs as the Everett Merchants defeated the Thurston County Senators 8-4 Wednesday night at Everett Memorial Stadium.
Trailing 1-0 heading into the fifth inning, the Merchants erupted for five runs to take their first lead of the ball game. Catcher Jake Frost highlighted the inning with a two RBI double.
Mountlake Terrace grad Alex Hatch pitched six innings to earn the win for Everett, who improved to 5-1 on the season.
The Merchants next matchup is against Laces Baseball Academy Friday at 7 p.m. at Everett Memorial.
