If the elephants could, they would thank you for your wonderful Tuesday editorial “Those elephants in the room”. You uncover Ringling Brothers’ hypocrisy beautifully. Indeed, the circus wants to fool its audience with reassuring statements and distorted truth. Fortunately, your editorial sets the record straight for these hapless “pachyderms.”
The plight of elephants is legendary. Be it in zoos (too small), in Africa (poaching), in Asia (labor exploitation) and in circuses (the worst), these majestic animals suffer terribly from human abuse.
Thank you for taking their side; I am hoping that your wise, compassionate opinion will convince the public to stay away from Comcast Arena and not attend Ringling Brothers’ performance. Consumers will not only “vote with their feet” but with their pocketbook and not support the “Saddest Show on Earth.”
