EDMONDS — A Seattle woman was found dead early Sunday morning in the water at Edmonds Marina.
Police and firefighters responded at 5:53 a.m. to the city’s waterfront, where they found the 50-year-old’s body by the L dock near Anthony’s restaurant, according to the Edmonds Police Department.
They recovered the victim, but she was dead.
Detectives are investigating the death with help from the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office, police said.
“There were no obvious signs of foul play. However, the investigation is continuing,” the department said in a news release.
She appears to have been alone at the time, said Sgt. Mark Marsh with Edmonds PD.
Police found a vehicle and personal effects nearby that appear to have belonged to the woman.
The woman’s identity has not been released.
