Police seek man who held up Stanwood espresso stand

STANWOOD — Police are investigating a robbery reported at a Stanwood espresso stand on Tuesday afternoon.
A man went to Coastal Vie Espresso just after 1:40 p.m. and claimed to have a gun, Snohomish County sheriff’s spokeswoman Shari Ireton said.
The man passed over a note demanding money, and then ran away with the cash.
Police searched the area, in the 8800 block of Highway 532.
The suspect was described as white, in his 20s and wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt. He had short brown hair.
Witnesses say he may have changed clothes in the bushes after the robbery, and he was last seen wearing a plaid shirt, dark shorts and a backpack.
Anyone with information should call 911.
