LAKEWOOD — The cause of a wildfire near Lakewood on June 12 remains under investigation.
The state Department of Natural Resources took over the case from Snohomish County Fire District 19, based in Silvana.
The state’s investigation is ongoing, an agency spokeswoman said Monday.
The fire broke out that afternoon in a former logging area east of Warm Beach and north of Lake Goodwin, off Happy Hollow Road.
About 38 acres were burned. No homes were damaged, and no serious injuries were reported.
