SKYKOMISH — An early-morning crash on U.S. 2 near Skykomish on Monday sent two people to the hospital.
An Everett man, 23, was westbound in a Ford F-350 when he drove off the road into an embankment, according to the Washington State Patrol. The crash was reported just before 2:30 a.m.
The man and his passenger, a 31-year-old Everett woman, were taken to local hospitals.
Their injuries turned out to be less serious than first thought, trooper Mark Francis said.
The crash is being investigated as a potential case of driving under the influence and vehicular assault, Francis said.
