ANACORTES — The fire chief in Anacortes says a 40-foot boat that caught fire in the Anacortes Marina is expected to be a total loss.
The Skagit Valley Herald reported that Fire Chief Richard Curtis said nearby boats have been moved to a safe location.
Officials said the boat was unoccupied when the fire started Monday.
Firefighters attacked the blaze from both the dock and the water.
The cause is not known.
