SEATAC — The Federal Bureau of Prisons says it’s investigating an apparent suicide at the Federal Detention Center in SeaTac.
The bureau said in a news release that inmate Steven Allen Daily was discovered unresponsive in his cell Saturday. Staff tried to revive him, but he was pronounced dead by outside medical personnel.
The news release said foul play is not suspected, but gave no details as to why authorities are investigating it as a suicide.
The 50-year-old Daily had been in custody since Thursday for a possible supervised release violation.
