Thanks to the continuous and generous support of the community and the caring commitment of our membership, this was an outstanding year for Operation School Bell. We provided new school clothing to 2,850 students on site in our facility and shall continue to expand our Teen Retail program. This year we clothed 847 Snohomish County high school students though our partnership with local Fred Meyer stores.
The funds that make these programs possible come primarily from your generous donations and patronage of the Assistance League of Everett Thrift Shop. Estate Sales are another important way we raise funds as well as our annual Cook’s Home Tour, Christmas Bazaar, annual Spring Tea and other events. Many businesses support us through generous grants and other donations throughout the year.
However, it takes more than money to clothe children who come through our doors. Our Operation School Bell volunteer family put in many, many hours behind the scenes making sure everything ran smoothly. They are your friends and neighbors and they are truly dedicated to improving the lives of Snohomish County children in need. I also want to thank all the wonderful staff at the schools we serve who make it possible for the children to come to our facility. A special thanks to the volunteers and school drivers who transport children to and from Operation School Bell. Their involvement and assistance has made our goals possible.
Our mission is to promote the well-being and self-esteem of children, teens and adults in Snohomish County. With your continued support, we are dedicated to this commitment.
Sally Joy
Operation School Bell Chairman
