The Shriner brothers at the Historic Everett Theatre are working hard to book a variety of entertainment at the beautiful old theater in downtown Everett.
Up next is Medicine Hat and Juice Newton at 7 p.m. July 19 at the theater, 2911 Colby Ave.

Judy Kay “Juice” Newton, a country and pop singer and guitarist, is known for her popular covers and original hits, including “Angel of the Morning,” “Queen of Hearts,” “It’s a Heartache,” “Hey! Baby,” “Sunshine,” “The Sweetest Thing (I’ve Ever Known),” “Love’s Been a Little Bit Hard on Me,” “Break It to Me Gently,” “Tell Her No,” “You Make Me Want to Make You Mine,” “Hurt,” “Old Flame,” “Cheap Love,” “What Can I Do with My Heart” and “Tell Me True.”
She has sung in concert and recorded with Willie Nelson, Kenny Rogers, Dolly Parton, Rosanne Cash, Crystal Gayle, Eddie Rabbitt and the band Alabama.
Newton, now 62, has five Grammy Award nominations in the pop and country best female vocalist categories and won a Grammy in 1983. In addition, she has an Academy of Country Music award for top new female artist and two Billboard female album artist of the year awards.
Medicine Hat, which specializes in rock, rhythm and blues and country rock, opens the show.
The Seattle-based band includes Bryan Olson, lead vocals; Brad Russell, lead guitar; Craig Russell, bass; Don Bostwick, guitar; Gary Toothaker, drums; Greg Blanke, guitar, flute, harmonica; Marty Hoyle, keyboards; and Rick Boice, percussion.
