SEATTLE — Seattle police say the man charged with aggravated murder in the June 1 execution-style shooting deaths of two young Seattle men has been arrested in New Jersey.
Sgt. Sean Whitcomb says the Essex County, New Jersey, Prosecutor’s Homicide Task Force and West Orange, New Jersey, police arrested Ali Muhammed Brown, 30, on a warrant Friday afternoon.
King County prosecutors have filed aggravated murder charges against Brown in the deaths of Dwone Anderson-Young, 23, and Ahmed Said, 27.
Police say the motive remains a mystery. The victims were killed a short time after they left a gay nightclub.
Investigators believe Brown fled to New Jersey after the murders.
Seattle Police Chief Kathleen O’Toole thanked all those involved in the arrest, and specially praised Seattle homicide detectives, saying they have been “working on this case relentlessly since day one.”
