EVERETT —Twelve families remain displaced after an apartment fire in Everett on Sunday morning, according to the American Red Cross.
Many of those displaced are staying with friends but still visiting the shelter for meals and information, officials said Monday.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, according to the Everett Fire Department. The 1970-vintage building was expected to be a total loss, at about $4 million.
No injuries were reported in the fire, which broke out about 2 a.m. at the Beverly Village Apartments, 801 75th St.
The two-acre property housed about 60 apartments, county records show.
