Justin McMahon has earned my vote for state representative, Position 1 in the 21st Legislative District because he understands the tragic problem of homelessness right here in Snohomish County. This is an issue that affects all of us, not just those who are struggling to live without shelter.
In almost every greenbelt in Edmonds, Lynnwood and Mukilteo, we find people setting up camp because they have nowhere else to go. With a lack of affordable housing options, a lack of shelter beds, a lack of mental health-care facilities, and a lack of living-wage jobs, more and more people every year are finding themselves unable to afford a home.
Justin has been endorsed by Snohomish County Sheriff Ty Trenary and the Washington Low Income Housing Alliance for his commitment to public safety and ending homelessness. Justin has attended Housing &Homelessness Advocacy Day for the last several years. Sheriff Trenary has endorsed Justin because they both believe that our jails are overcrowded with nonviolent offenders who really need mental health care instead of jail time. Vote for Justin McMahon for state representative so he can put in place common sense solutions to make our communities safer for everyone — homeless or not.
