JUNEAU, Alaska — Internet and wireless service is returning to southeast Alaska after a widespread outage caused by an earthquake.
Between 10,000 and 15,000 people lost service Friday after a 5.9 magnitude earthquake 97 miles west of Juneau damaged an underwater fiber cable.
Alaska Communications spokeswoman Hannah Blankenship says that most customers had their service restored by Saturday morning.
