SEATTLE — A King County sheriff’s spokeswoman says deputies shot and wounded a burglary suspect while another escaped.
Spokeswoman Sgt. DB Gates says deputies were responding to a burglary call in SeaTac, where a woman called to report two intruders in her home Tuesday afternoon. Gates says the woman and a 3-year-old child were inside the home during the break-in and hid in a room.
Deputies arrived at the home soon after.
Gates says a confrontation happened outside the house, adding one of the men “charged” at the deputies. She says a Taser was deployed but did not stop the man, who was then shot at by deputies. The second man, described to be in his 20s, fled on foot.
Gates did not know if the suspect was armed, nor his condition at the hospital.
Police dogs are looking for the suspect who escaped.
