All roses are welcome at Seattle Rose Society’s Rose Show.
The show is 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Aug. 2 at Molbak’s Garden &Home, 13625 NE 175th St., Woodinville.
The public will vote on their favorites in nine categories, including hybrid teas and grandifloras; floribundas; miniatures and minifloras; climbers and ramblers; shrubs; old garden roses; 3 stems (any class, color, combination); fragrant roses (any class); and American Rose Society judges (any type of rose). Seattle Rose Society members will then select Best in Show from among the nine section winners. Each category winner will be awarded a $25 Molbak’s gift card and the Best in Show winner will receive an additional $25 gift card.
Participants should bring cut roses to Molbak’s at 9:30 a.m. Vases will be provided. Rose staging ends at 10:45 a.m. Public voting begins at 11 a.m. followed by rose society members voting on the Best in Show at noon. There is no fee to enter.
