As a homeowner in the Wagner Lake community, I find it hard believe a permit was issued to grow marijuana in a residential neighborhood.
I am writing to express my extreme concerns about this “facility” now being constructed in a residential neighborhood within blocks of an elementary school. I understand existing regulations require a fence at least 7 feet high with serpentine wire on top to deter entry. Again, how is this possible in a neighborhood with families and children? I am also very concerned with the likelihood of this “facility” drawing a criminal element.
With a little research, I believe there will be around-the-clock surveillance, security guard(s), bright lighting and strong odors. With the security and needed protection this “facility” will resemble a high security prison. At the very least, why are these “facilities” not in an industrial area?
Please help us to revoke permits for this obvious industrial, federally illegal monstrosity to protect our residential neighborhoods and children.
