Grateful to officials for keeping rail yard out

I want to thank Sound Transit Board members Snohomish County Executive John Lovick and Edmonds Mayor Dave Earling for their efforts in regard to the placement of the rail maintenance yard. Both Executive Lovick and Mayor Earling took the time to listen to my concerns and the concerns of many others here in Lynnwood. Both of these gentlemen voted in the majority to put the maintenance yard at the best site in Bellevue.
Lynnwood City Councilmember Sid Roberts assisted myself and others in better understanding the process while confirming that he and the city of Lynnwood stood alongside us in favor of protecting our part of the county.
These elected officials need to be recognized and appreciated by those in our community and county. All of us here are grateful that the neighborhoods, the acres of wetlands, wetland buffer, flora, wildlife, the Edmonds School District, and businesses will be preserved for the future.
