Woman struck by car seriously injured

EVERETT — A pedestrian was seriously hurt Friday night after being struck by a sport utility vehicle in Everett.

The crash was reported about 10:30 p.m. near the intersection of Pacific Avenue and Pine Street, Everett police spokesman Aaron Snell said.

A man was westbound in a 1997 Toyota 4Runner when he struck a woman who was crossing Pacific Avenue.

Preliminary information indicates the woman was crossing in the roadway and the driver could not stop in time, according to police.

The woman’s injuries were not believed to be life-threatening. She was taken to a local hospital.

The driver stayed on scene. The investigation was ongoing.

Ages of those involved and other details were not available Saturday.
