SEATTLE — Seattle police say four men beat and robbed a woman at a Seattle library branch just hours after police talked to her at the scene of a south Seattle shooting.
Police say the men attacked the 21-year-old woman Monday evening in the lobby of the Rainier Beach library branch. One clubbed her with a handgun and the others kicked and punched her as she fell to the ground. The attack stopped when a library employee pounded on a lobby window. The attackers then grabbed the woman’s purse and ran off. Police were not able to locate them.
Police contacted the woman at the scene of a shooting early Monday morning. Officers say they think the woman was present when an argument at a home in the Rainier View neighborhood escalated into a shooting that left one man with life-threatening gunshot wounds.
Medics treated the woman for cuts and bruises.
She told officers she had received several threatening Facebook messages after the shooting.
