EDMONDS — An Everett teen was taken to Swedish/Edmonds hospital early Tuesday morning after a reported assault in the 8400 block of 191st Street SW, police said.
Edmonds police believe the assault occurred after a party got out of control. The call came in around 1:15 a.m.
No arrests had been made as of Tuesday afternoon, Sgt. Josh McClure said.
The girl, reportedly a 16-year-old runaway, had been physically assaulted and also sustained an injury to the back of her neck that detectives are investigating. The girl and witnesses reported hearing a gunshot during the disburbance.
Her injuries are not life-threatening, police said.
