Weekend best bets: Beer fest, food trucks, Fresh Paint, kids fun, music

Eat, drink: Check out a wide selection of craft beers from 33 breweries on Saturday in Everett. This year the festival is focusing on fruit. Then, on Sunday, check out food truck vendors, also in Everett. Read all about it in our story here.

After party: After the beer fest, check out some live music at the Cannery in Everett. Ivan &Alyosha, Joseph, Marshal Mclean Band, and Jr. Geezer are playing. The show starts at 7 p.m. and is 21 and over. Get more info and tickets here.

Pepsapalooza: A festival of fun for families is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Caspar Babypants and other musicians will play, there will be a bouncy house, animals, crafts, food and tons more. Get more info and tickets here.

Sandtastic: A free outdoor event is Sunday outside the Imagine Children’s Museum in Everett. There will be entertainers, sand sculptors, animals, a rock climbing wall, sand play and lots more. Get more info here.

World-class dancers: Erik Linder and Rickie Taylor are raising money to get them to Paris to represent the United States in world competition. They will perform their “Dancing in Paris” fundraiser at 6 p.m. Sunday at First Class Ballroom, 1216 50th St. SE., Everett. Admission is by donation to the travel fund. Fresh Paint: See about 90 local artists working, and buy their artwork, at Fresh Paint in Everett on Saturday and Sunday. There will also be entertainment and crafts for kids. Read more in our story here.

Comedy: The Historic Everett Theatre stand-up comedy club presents comedians Kermit Apio and Andrew Rivers at 8 p.m. Friday at the theater, 2911 Colby Avenue. More information at here.

Music The seventh annual Snohomish Taste of Music festival, three days of blues, soul, jazz, rhythm and blues and funk, is Friday through Sunday in historic downtown Snohomish. Read more and see who’s performing in our story here.

Tribute: See Whiskey River, a Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute band, perform on Saturday at Historic Everett Theatre. Read about it, and other tribute band shows coming up, here.

Street fest: The final Darrington Street Fest of the year is on Saturday. There will be music, water play, a free showing of “The Goonies” and more. The event will raise money to help those affected by fires in Eastern Washington. Get more info here.
