    Fat Tones, a rhythm and rockin’ blues band from Spokane, plays Snohomish Taste of Music festival on Friday and Sunday.

The seventh annual Snohomish Taste of Music festival, three days of blues, soul, jazz, rhythm and blues and funk, is Friday through Sunday in historic downtown Snohomish.
Ticket price is $5 a day for admission to the main stage area and the libation garden, 105 Cedar Ave., Snohomish.
The event gets rolling Friday with the local blues band Mustard Seed opening at 5 p.m. The Rae Gordon Band of Oregon City performs the blues at 6:15 p.m., followed by Spokane’s rhythm and rockin’ blues trio the Fat Tones at 7:30 p.m.
The music begins at noon Saturday with a songwriters showcase featuring Mark Riley and Rod Cook. The Linda Myers Band takes the stage to perform a variety of musical genres at 1:50 p.m. Wenatchee’s Junk Belly is on at 3:40 p.m., followed at 5:30 p.m. by Bakin’ Phat. Saturday evening concludes with a show at 7:30 p.m. by The Staxx Brothers band from Seattle.
The Washington Blues Society hosts a competition on Sunday. Performance times are to be announced, but the lineup includes
Stephanie Anne Johnson of Tacoma, Bird Dog of Bellingham, Nick Vigarino of Camano Island, Junk Belly of Wenatchee, BlackWater Blues Band from the Tri-Cities, Fat Tones of Spokane and Michele D’Amour and the Love Dealers of Everett.
From Seattle, the contestants include Steve Bailey and the Blue Flames, the Randy Oxford Band, the Rafael Tranquilino Band and Red House.
