Training camp week is here.
Everett’s veterans have already begun filtering back into town, and we’re just days away from hockey getting back into full swing. The returning players and listed players check in Wednesday afternoon, then the invited players check in first thing Thursday morning. The players will be grouped into four teams which will play a round robin, with the top two teams squaring off for the third annual Volunteer Cup. Camp concludes Sunday with the Green vs. Grey intrasquad game. I didn’t see it mentioned anywhere, but history suggests fans will be encouraged to bring non-perishable food items for donation at the Green vs. Grey game.
Here’s a schedule of all the on-ice sessions. The sessions are all at Comcast Arena and are open to the public free of charge:
THURSDAY
10:30 a.m. — Grey practice
12 p.m. — Green practice
1:30 p.m. — Blue practice
3 p.m. — Red practice
FRIDAY
8 a.m. — Green practice
9:15 a.m. — Blue practice
10:30 a.m. — Red practice
11:45 a.m. — Grey practice
3 p.m. — Green vs. Grey
4:45 p.m. — Blue vs. Red
SATURDAY
8 a.m. — Grey vs. Blue
9:45 a.m. — Green vs. Red
3 p.m. — Red vs. Grey
4:45 p.m. — Blue vs. Green
SUNDAY
8 a.m. — Volunteer Cup third-place game
9:45 a.m. — Volunteer Cup championship game
3 p.m. — Green vs. Grey game
