EVERETT — A teenage boy was taken to a hospital after being struck by a car in Everett on Monday.
The incident was reported about 1 p.m. in the 4100 block of Rucker Avenue, in the parking lot of a gas station, Everett police spokesman Aaron Snell said.
The teen was part of a landscaping crew working in the lot. He was crouched at the time, Snell said.
Investigators believe the driver could not see the teen and backed over him.
The teen’s injuries were not thought to be life-threatening. The driver stayed at scene and cooperated with police, who don’t expect to seek criminal charges. No citation was issued.
“The investigating officer determined that it was an accident,” Snell said.
No other details were released Monday.
