EVERETT — Police say they’ve caught up with a suspected serial bank robber.
The 40-year-old Woodinville man was apprehended Tuesday afternoon in south Everett and was turned over to the FBI, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.
The man is accused of five robberies around Puget Sound, including July 7 and July 30 holdups in Lynnwood. He was dubbed the “Alabama Band Bandit” because of the logo on the hat he wore during one of the robberies.
The man was caught by the Snohomish County Violent Offender Task Force. He allegedly threw a handgun while running from officers. The gun was recovered.
His name was not released Tuesday.
