EDMONDS — A 38-year-old man who was killed Wednesday in a construction accident at Swedish/Edmonds hospital has been identified as Jason E. Vanlandingham.
Vanlandingham, from the town of South Prairie in Pierce County, died from high-voltage electrocution, according to the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office. His death was ruled an accident.
He was on a crew working in a ditch as part of the hospital expansion project, officials said.
Invetigators believe the crew accidentally hit a power line. The accident caused a half-hour power outage for nearly 900 people.
Edmonds police and the state Department of Labor and Industries are investigating.
