KENT — Kent police have one man in jail but released another man who was questioned about the shooting deaths of two men at a Kent gas station.
Cmdr. Jarod Kasner told KOMO-TV there was not enough evidence to hold him for now.
King County Jail records show Leland Dean Russell was booked early Thursday for investigation of two homicides and held without bail.
As part of their investigation, police also searched a Burien home overnight.
Witnesses to the Wednesday morning shooting said two men in a black Cadillac with music blaring pulled into a Shell service station in a way that blocked other customers.
Witnesses say the two argued with others and one of the men pulled out a gun and shot the two victims then sped away.
