Recently, on a Saturday, my mother called with a sore throat. On Sunday, she was rushed to the hospital with a jaw that only opened half way. Monday she was on life support for breathing, blood pressure problems, and her whole body was getting rigid and tense. By Thursday, with seven tubes keeping her alive and several medications, she started spasms. By Friday, we had to let her go, as there was no cure. She was 85, and so active. So please, get that tetanus shot.
