My wife and I just wanted to write to say that the 2014 Everett’s Northwest Neighborhood’s “The Mother of All Garage Sales” was so much fun for us, as well as the thousands of folks that shopped that day. It seemed that lots of families once again made hundreds of dollars selling stuff they no longer needed.
The Northwest Neighborhood’s chairwoman, Shelley Weyer, as well as Krista McKee, Greg Weyer, Russ Kasselman and their coterie of regular do-gooders have really made the Northwest Neighborhood a wonderful and special place to live.
Shelley has been leading the Northwest Neighborhood Association since October of 2010. She has done an absolutely terrific job of fighting crime, keeping the neighbors involved and informed and organizing countless meetings and events. She is hardworking, selfless and passionate about her neighborhood.
Reading or watching the daily news tests one’s faith in the goodness of the human spirit. Yet there are so many good-hearted people who give of themselves every day to help others and make this world a better place. These do-gooders like Shelley need to be rewarded. They need to be thanked and appreciated! So, Sue and I just want to say, “Thanks, Shelley!”
