Open house about EdCC’s composite, aerospace programs

Edmonds Community College invites the public to a free open house exploring composites and aerospace manufacturing programs from 6 to 8 p.m. Sept. 4 in Monroe Hall on campus, 20000 68th Ave. W, Lynnwood. Staff will explain how to apply and enroll, as well as answer any financial aid questions. For more information, go to www.edcc.edu/composites.

Master Builders Career Connection to cease

Master Builders Career Connection will cease to operate this month. However, the foundation is distributing $85,150 in grants immediately and transferring $365,000 in assets to The Seattle Foundation in order to continue its legacy of providing scholarships, training and outreach to those interested and involved in the homebuilding industry.

Promotions announced at Landau Associates

Edmonds-based Landau Associates has promoted staff at three of its offices including Edmonds. Locally, Allan Barton and Eric Zick were both promoted to Graphics II. Steven Shaw was promoted to project geologist. Chad McMullen was promoted to senior engineer in Landau Associates’ geotechnical group. Kenneth Reid was promoted to senior geologist.
