Smoke from a car fire has shut down southbound lanes on Interstate 5 outside Marysville for about an hour Saturday.
A pickup pulling a camper became engulfed in flames about two miles south of the city at about 5:30 p.m., said Trooper Mark Francis of the Washington State Patrol.
The truck pulled onto the road’s shoulder, but smoke poured across the highway and into northbound lanes as well, he said.
No injuries have been reported, and everyone inside the truck has been accounted for, he said.
Firefighters are on scene, and southbound lanes on I-5 are expected to reopen soon, Francis said.
