MONROE — Police are investigating a carjacking in Monroe on Tuesday night.
The victim, a 31-year-old Marysville woman, had given a ride to a man and a woman she met in a fast-food parking lot off U.S. 2.
When she got to White Mountain Road SE, the pair pulled a gun on her and took the car, a silver 2008 Nissan Altima. That was about 8:15 p.m.
Police don’t believe it was a random attack, department spokeswoman Debbie Willis said Wednesday. The suspects may know the owner of the vehicle, who was not present at the time.
At 8:45 p.m, Monroe police were called to Westwick Road, where the stolen Nissan was parked. The suspects were nowhere in sight.
The man was described as white, about 5-foot-6 and 160 pounds. He had light-colored hair and wore a red hooded sweatshirt. His companion was described as 5-foot-7 with a skinny build and a dark complexion. She had black hair and wore a dark coat.
