Week three is on its way and, much like the football teams we cover, we’re starting to figure this thing out. Cast your vote for The Herald’s Game of the Week below:
Lynnwood vs. Glacier Peak
Veterans Memorial Stadium, 7 p.m.
It’s the first league game for Lynnwood, which now finds itself in the Wesco 3A South conference. The Royals and Glacier Peak both come into the contest with perfect 2-0 records in non-league games.
Lakewood vs. Archbishop Murphy
Archbishop Murphy H.S., 7 p.m.
The Cascade Conference foes renew their rivalry with the first league game for both teams this Friday at Terry Ennis Stadium. Lakewood is the defending league champion, but the Wildcats are just two years removed from their last Cascade Conference championship.
Marysville Pilchuck vs. O’Dea
West Seattle Stadium, 7 p.m.
The non-league game pits two of the top three 3A teams in the state against each other. O’Dea, the No. 2 team in the Associated Press 3A poll takes on third-ranked Marysville Pilchuck in West Seattle.
