SEATTLE — Seattle police are investigating after two patrol cars responding to an emergency back-up call collided in downtown Seattle on Sunday.
Police say two officers were responding to a request for help when their patrol cars collided at the intersection of Pike Street and 7th Ave. They suffered minor injuries.
The crash sent one of the patrol cars careening into a parked tour bus. Some of the occupants of the tour bus were treated at the scene for minor injuries.
Firefighters who were treating a 41-year-old man, when police say the man assaulted the medics, prompting the call for emergency back-up.
That man is in jail on investigation of felony assault.
