TACOMA — Authorities are asking the public for help to find a driver involved in a crash that killed a Joint Base Lewis-McChord soldier last month in Tacoma.
Police say Logan Hettinger died when he crashed while racing another vehicle the night of Aug. 21.
The News-Tribune says witnesses reported that an unidentified white car and the black Ford Mustang driven by Hettinger were speeding down the street before the Mustang lost control. Police said it wasn’t clear if the cars bumped.
The person driving the white car fled.
