EDMONDS — Season 56 for the Edmonds Driftwood Players begins with its production of “Night Watch” by Lucille Fletcher.
Director Joanna Goff says it’s a haunting thriller from its first bloodcurdling scream to its last heart-stopping surprise.
“Night Watch” opens Friday at the Wade James Theatre, 950 Main St., Edmonds. Performances are 8 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays through Oct. 5. An American Sign Language-interpreted performance is set for Sept. 27.

From her living room window, heiress Elaine Wheeler, an insomniac, witnesses a murder in the building next door. But the police find nothing. Her husband and her best friend are concerned and worried about her sanity.
Who is the real victim?
Elaine is surrounded by a cast of odd characters, and any and all of whom could be in on the plot.
The suspense mounts.
The cast includes Anne Arnhold, John Chapman, Dawn Cornell, Janice Fix, Rob Gaston, Scott O’Neill, Chad Oswald, Juliana Pereira and Justin Tinsley.
Festival seating begins 25 minutes prior to curtain. Parking in the theater lot is free.
