Don from Everett writes about a problem with contractors parking vehicles and setting up portable toilets in the bicycle lanes along Mukilteo Boulevard. “Those bicycle lanes are where people jog, walk and bicycle. When the lanes are blocked, as they have been this summer in this location as well as others, what happens is the bicycles jump out into the car lane suddenly, which is dangerous.”
Meghan Pembroke, a city of Everett spokesperson, responds: “Thanks for alerting us to this issue. We will send out an inspector to talk with the project manager, as they do not have permission to park vehicles and other equipment in the bike lane along Mukilteo Blvd.”
