GOLD BAR — Two people were taken to a local hospital Friday evening after a pickup truck and truck collided on U.S. 2 seven miles east of Gold Bar.
The truck driver, 56, and pickup driver, 53, were taken to Valley General Hospital in Monroe with what were described as minor injuries. Both are from Bothell.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was headed west when he crossed the center line and hit the eastbound pickup, according to a Washington State Patrol memo. The truck ended up in the eastbound ditch.
The truck driver was cited for speeding.
